Neurosurgeon to Orlando Patients
Possessing decades of clinical experience, Dr. Michael Thomas performs surgery on patients in and around Plantation, Florida, through Sea Spine Orthopedic Institute. In preparation for his medical career, he enrolled at the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, where he earned his doctor of osteopathy. Following that, Dr. Michael Thomas completed his rotating internship and general surgical residency with Tulsa Regional Medical Center. He then pursued his neurosurgeon's training through North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center, serving at the latter as chief neurosurgical resident.
Once finished with his post-doctoral education, Dr. Michael Thomas joined Sisters of Providence in Yakima as neurosurgical attending. While there, he co-created the hospital's neuroscience center. Following his time at Sisters of Providence, he became neurosurgical attending at Health Management Associates, where he remained until opening his solo practice.
In his private life, the physician enjoys spending time with his friends and family, as well as following the athletic progress of the Kansas City Chiefs football team.
